About Me
My name is Meghan Nash (nee Pickard), and I was born and raised in the Peterborough area. Working with children has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember- even when I was a child myself. I completed my Honors Bachelor of Child and Youth Care at Humber Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning in 2016 and am currently pursuing my Masters of Science in Child & Youth Care through the University of Strathclyde.
My work experience consists of special education in multiple school boards, with my current role is a Program Coordinator with the Nogojiwanong Friendship Centre working with Indigenous women and their families.

I have over 10 years experience with Special Needs (ASD, ADHD, ODD, LD, DD, FASD), students with various mental health concerns (depression, anxiety, OCD). I am a current full professional certified member of the Ontario Association of Child and Youth Care.
Philosophy
I am a firm believer in Ross Greene's adage "kids do well if they can". If children and youth have the skills necessary to succeed, they will. My goal is to aid in the development and fostering of those skills. Whether they be in the area of self-esteem, bereavement, anger, anxiety or depression.
Vision
It is my vision that all children and adolescents will be able to achieve their full potential and thrive in this world.
